Our Mission Statement

 The mission of the Rockport Volunteer Fire Department is to save lives and protect property .We are committed to providing to our citizens the best possible service in a courteous, professional and cost-effective manner, to assure that every person who contacts the fire department receives satisfaction to the best of our ability. We will achieve this through continuous education, training, and community involvement, while maintaining the safest working environment possible. 

The Rockport Volunteer Fire Department will be a safety conscious, professional organization while striving to be a leader in the fire service and the community. Through Professionalism, Dedication and Training we will work hard to set goals for ourselves and reach them as a team. 

Honesty - We will be honest to each other and the citizens and represent this value in both our words and actions.

Reliability - No matter the environment, routine or emergency, we will be able to be depended on to get the task done.

Integrity - We will maintain these values as our core direction and keep ourselves true to this through accountability and responsibility.

Loyalty - We will uphold the values of the Rockport Volunteer Fire Department both on the job and off the job.

Professionalism - We will exhibit this value through training, ability, appearance, and actions so that all who contact the Rockport Volunteer Fire Department will understand that we are non-paid professionals.

 RVFD is always looking for hardworking and dedicated individuals to join our team as firefighters, auxiliary or administrative members.  

No prior fire/rescue experience is necessary.  Free training is provided.
